Fireworks Show for July 4 (REVISED 7/3/08)
June 25, 2008 -- Ok, it has been confirmed. The Elm Cove Fireworks Display will be on Friday, July 4, starting about 9:00 p.m. and lasting 30-60 minutes. For those of you with boats who want to be on the lake to watch the show, we will leave our gate open for boat exit only until 11:00 p.m. You will need to be out our gate no later than 11 -- this will allow you more than ample time to return, trailer and exit before our gate locks. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration of our overnight park patrons. PLEASE NOTE -- WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREWORKS ON OUR FACILITY! (My apologies to the Pebble Beach Homeowners Association for misunderstanding the sponsors of the display. For the public, please do not try to attend this display by land as it is a private residential neighborhood, and there is no place for viewing.)
It's Officially Summer!
June 20, 2008 -- Today is the summer solstice...and believe it or not we actually got a little rain this morning...yahoo! Lake level currently registers at 9.15 below spillway, we have plenty of ramp and are launching lots of boats. Beach and swim area still great. Make your reservations now for 4th of July as we are filling up fast ... everyone's "staycation" is closer to home this year! Will post an update as soon as we are able to confirm Fireworks Show via Pebble Beach on the 4th. We're trying to find out specifics to determine how late we will be open for late lake exit for all you boaters. Our campers will be able to see the show from our beach area.
Last Day of School
June 4, 2008 -- Well, since today is the last day of school for most of the schools in this area, we are ready for y'all to start hitting the lake on weekdays, too, not just the weekends. It's been a great year so far, and we're expecting it to get even better. The lake is currently at 7.91 below spillway and we still have plenty of cement ramp left. The swim rope is up, shallow on one side so you moms don't have to worry about the depth for little ones, and deep enough on the other side to make even the big boys happy. With the high temps, the cool water feels GREAT! Plan a day and come on out. To make reservations for a site, call us at metro line 830/612-3775 -- it's not long distance so no need to dial the "1"! See you soon.
