Still Plenty of Summer Left
July 29, 2010 -- Well, we're just under a month before school starts, so be sure to get in enough "fun in the sun" before going back. Lake level is still good at 12.31 feet below spillway, launching and boating is good, still an adequate swim/play are, and lots of sun and sand to "go beachin'" a little closer to home. Reservations are not required, but then it's first-come, first-served. We're open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wed. thru Sun., but remember, no entries after 7 p.m. We still have the dock fishing on Friday and Saturday p.m. with the gate closed by 8 p.m., but we let you out by 10 p.m. Come have a picnic, or rent a boat for sliding in the lake, or spend the weekend just relaxing and having fun with the family. We're here to help, and look forward to seeing you. We are currently taking reservations for Labor Day Weekend.
4th of July
June 27, 2010 -- Here's good news for any of you late planners...we've had a cancellation on our cabin for this weekend. Max 8 people, rents for $200/night Fri/Sat/Sun checking out on Monday (minimum 2 nights of the 3...or all 3). No pets, no smoking in cabin, must bring bed linens and towels. Check our website for cabin specifics (photos, etc.) or call Metro line 830/612-3775 for more details/to book reservation. We're closed this Mon/Tues, so if you're interested, leave a message and I'll call back Wed a.m. -- in order of messages! Be the first NOT to miss out on Medina Lake fun for 4th of July! There's also still primitive campsites and day picnic sites available. We will be open Monday, July 5, and closed Tues/Wed July 6 & 7.
Memorial Day Weekend
May 21, 2010 -- I just bet all you youngsters are hootin' and hollerin' cause Memorial Day means school is almost out! We still have spaces available, so don't forget to make your reservation to assure yourself a place to enjoy the great outdoors.
Both boat ramps are now operational--we will determine which ramp for you to use based on size of watercraft. Bank fishing is also back. I know there's a lot of you who have been waiting for the lake to come up for this, so get your poles and come on out. The lake, however, is still not quite high enough for a swim area--we will keep you posted. We're putting the rope up, but until it's floating, there will not be swimming from the shore.
It seems like it has been a very looonnnggg year from our last busy season, so we look forward to seeing many of our frequent customers and friends again real soon!
